I just wanted to Thank You very much for the amazing "Mother's Day" dinner you prepared for my family last Sunday night. According to my mom, it was one of the best meals she had had in years. The colors were vibrant and the food was absolutely fresh and delicious. As the lone vegetarian in the bunch, I also greatly appreciate how much you altered the menu to accommodate my diet.
Sunday's dinner was truly the best meal we had during our entire stay in Costa Rica . That night was a perfect ending to a very memorable family vacation.

My wife Angie and I, and our friends Tom and Kelly, are grateful to have made your acquaintance during our spring break 2011 vacation in Playa Langosta. Of the 7 nights we spent in paradise, you created 4 nights of pure culinary bliss. The two nights you worked in residence, and the two you “dropped off”, were clearly the dining highlights of our memorable trip. The Tuna Tower won’t soon be forgotten, the Mahi Mahi could not have been fresher, and the empanadas remain a crowd favorite. Since my role at Equity Estates takes me around the world to amazing villas and residences in places like Los Cabos, Telluride, Anguilla, and Turks & Caicos, I’ve had the occasion to experience a variety of private chef’s. There is no doubt, and without disrespect to a host of terrific other talented people, that you are now the “leader of the pack” in my book on the merit of those four fabulous dinners you created for us. I, along with our Costa Rica Destination Expert Monica Jacobs, have already recommended you to a host of our members who will be visiting the villa in the coming weeks and months. My personal goal is for every Equity Estates member to try you at least once per visit. On our next trip it’ll be every dinner! I had the privilege of having Bathsheba cater my daughters wedding on February of 2011. The appetizers, the main meal and the desserts were just outstanding. For the main meal we had Paella Criolla, Macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi, Baby Back Ribs with Tamarind Barbecue Sauce and Chipotle & Lime grilled Chicken. I cannot tell you which was my favorite because everything was just delicious. Had I known Bathsheba was so good I would have booked her for the entire week!

Exceptional cuisine, exceptional lady! Bathsheba’s personality and warmth made our visit to CR most special. She is intelligent, caring and a gourmet wowee cook! We enjoyed her food and charm for 11 meals and eagerly looked forward to each one. Hard to choose our favorite dish or sauce but Ravioli, Sea Bass, Flan, Bread Pudding are tops.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and as one would imagine, we had quite a few anxieties about language, food etc. From the first night that Bathsheba arrived to cook for us, we felt at home! She walked into the kitchen and started making her magic. Her hummus is out -of- this- world, her flan is the best we’ve ever had. She even had the courage to make ribs for Texans…, and we loved every bite! Her chimichurri sauce is to die for, her sea bass and mahi mahi tasted like they were caught the day she served them! Oh, and breakfast, you shouldn’t leave CR without having her chorizo hash! It’s going to be hard to return to Dallas to our standard , every day meals….we’re thinking we should come back to Costa Rica for her cooking alone!
